The Institute of Medicine (IOM) is affiliated to Tribhuvan University. It was established to conduct training for all the categories of health manpower needed in the country. IOM's central campus at Maharajgung, Kathmandu is considered as the top medical college in Nepal. At present it has 7 constituent campuses and 16 affiliated colleges.
IOM conducts an entrance examination usually in the month of Ashoj each year. 100 objective questions 1 mark each are asked in entrance examination which lasts 2 hour.
